Stellar 1970s 'Lawsuit-Era' Ibanez. This guitar was built in Japan to be sold in the United States as part of the 'VIntage Series' (printed on label in soundhole), which was built and sold between 1976 and 1978. Made after a hybridization of Martin and Guild's 'D35' models, this Ibanez is built with a rosewood body and three-piece back just like a classic Martin, but also features a Guild-shaped pickguard, headstock, and headstock inlay! All the trappings of an amazing vintage dreadnought, without the price tag. Even includes the original hard shell case!!
This Ibanez Model 2846 is in Excellent condition. Minimal wear for its age, truss rod is in good working order with a straight neck and low action. Top is healthy, minimal bellying, bridge is firmly attached with no lifting. Minor dings and scratches throughout consistent with the instruments age. Original 70's hard shell case (pictured) is also in excellent shape, all latches work, handle is healthy.
