The Mohan Veena (or Hindustani Slide Guitar) combines the practical construction and neck design of archtop guitars with the sympathetic strings, drones, and tunings of the sitar instrument family!

Designed to played with a slide handled in a dobro-style fashion, this instrument is usually tuned to open tunings, with 13 sympathetic strings (designed to ring in tune, like a snare) that are tight against the fingerboard, and 7 strings across the bridge that are strummable and playable via slide.

Also includes a gourd that screws into a mount at the neck volute, offering additional resonance and further contributing to the sitar style and vibe! Includes a high quality flight case for both the guitar and neck gourd.
